Its primary asset is an 88.8% interest in Hebei Hua Ao Mining Industry Company Limited, which operates the Caijiaying Mine near Caijiaying Village in Hebei Province, approximately 250 kilometers northwest of Beijing. This underground mine produces zinc concentrate, lead concentrate, gold, and silver, with a processing plant capacity of 1.5 million tonnes of ore per annum following multiple upgrades since its 2005 commissioning. Griffin Mining Limited also holds a 90% interest in Hebei Sino Anglo Mining Development Company Limited for surrounding exploration licenses covering additional mineralized zones. The company has invested around $400 million in the project, funded largely internally, and emphasizes sustainability, earning a 'Green Mine' certification in 2021 for high environmental and safety standards.
